Since its establishment, KPIC has ceaselessly grown and developed for twenty years. Beginning from the construction of two plants in the early 1970s, KPIC has continued to build new plants and to expand the existing ones. The seventh plant was completed in 1989. KPIC boasts of the largest productive capacity in Korea in this sector with an annual productive capacity of 350 thousand tons of PP and 270 thousand tons of HDPE. KPIC has thus greatly contributed to a balanced development of petrochemical industry in Korea and export of petrochemicals.
